Verify that the basic configuration settings on the Wireless Settings page of the setup wizard are the same as the base station's configuration, especially SSID, mode, and channel.

Click the Advanced tab and then select Setup > LAN

In the IP Address field, change the LAN IP address of the router to 192.168.1.100 (same IP segment of the main router, 192.168.1.1) and clear the DHCP server check box. Then click Apply.

Select Wireless Setup, and specify the wireless settings that you require (SSID, Channel, Security).

Connect the router that you just set up as an access point to one of the available Ethernet router in the network (the main router). Power the router.
The second router now is set up and connected to function as an access point.

- SerranoMalcolm6953 Jul 9, 2013 at 08:31amIgo8 software. Might be worth adding some comments on the following:a) not all devices use the 192.168.1.x subnet so might be worth making the instructions more generic.
b) checking the DHCP range that the existing router uses and making sure you haven't put your 'new' access point in the middle of the DHCP range. Might be better to put the 'new' access point at x.254 and ensure the existing DHCP scope end point is lower than this.
c) ensuring that the router you are using as the access point has its own DHCP service switched off. - Ghost ChiliNick42 Aug 14, 2013 at 11:58pmScreenshots would really make this pop. Several people have no idea that a wireless 'router' can be used like this. But if your network already has DHCP, it's not really needed on the AP.
